How to care for your BANDit

BANDit Wigs should be washed ONLY by hand, with a gentle shampoo and warm water. 

First, twist your BANDit in a circle so that the band is rolled up. Place a rubber band around the band part of the BANDit to hold the twist in place. Gently comb the hair with wide-tooth comb to remove any tangles. A detangling spray can help with this.

Saturate the entire BANDit (band and hair) with warm water. (Water should be at room temperature or slightly warmer.)

Apply a very small drop of high quality mild shampoo to the wet hair. Holding vertically the entire time, comb the shampoo through the hair from top of the BANDit to bottom using gentle downward strokes. Make sure not to knot the hair. Gently apply soapy water to the band area. Do not scrub. Rinse with lukewarm water from top to bottom of hair and from the Band to remove any excess shampoo. Gently wrap hair in a towel to remove excess water. If you like, apply some conditioner to the damp hair, avoiding the Band area. Comb through hair from top to bottom. Rinse conditioner out of hair with cool to lukewarm water; a small amount of conditioner may remain in the hair.

To dry your BANDit, gently blot hair with a towel and use wide tooth comb to neatly brush out hair. lay your Bandit out flat and hang  your Bandit on the included wood hanger. Allow to air dry naturally. (Do not dry with a blow dryer; it can damage the hair).To restyle your BANDit, you may use a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron, on low heat settings, ONLY after the hair is fully dry.

• Occasionally, hair may tangle or knot up at the nape (back of the neck) from friction against your back and shoulders – this is totally normal.
• The best way to prevent tangles is to comb the wig every day and use a small drop of Biosilkor any oil-based hair creme every time it is done. This is very important to keep the hair healthy and prevent dryness and tangling.
• Another option is to use a flat iron on the lowest layer of hair in the nape area. The flat iron will seal the cuticles and help minimize tangles.
